Hi Joerg,

I woul suggest coordinates and favorites. As those are search criterias.

Favorites is not a search criteria :P (Then inconsistent)

It is in a way a search favorite :-) so consistent...

For an active route i would set a "route settings” icon in the main header
to control everything belonging to route options easily with few clicks!
This would open the pop up with a 4x4 small grid with the most important
nearbys you need while driving: Gas, parking, rest, car repair.

That will really help a car driver.

Beside that grid the ' nearby destination'
And cancel route.

We can't assure the user will need that. What happen if you're using uNav
for bike or walk?

Than we do no show the grid or an alternative.

In future releases we could even make the small grid being customized with
'nearby favorites' for example.
What do you think?

It's an idea :) but personally I don't like it.

At least a quick access seems to be important!

And i personally would go for as much popup as possible, csuse its realky great while driving. Thats what i dont like for the page approach you ptoposed.. It is difficult to use and not very

A hug,

Best joerg!

Hello everyone,

So regarding the cancel button issue, here is a possible idea that came to
mind after talking to Marcos.

1. Lets move the fullscreen button to the settings page since it is not an
action that is used frequently. Also do note that in my user-testing, I
was
told the same as well. This would reduce the number of header actions to
4.

2. We can now show the cancel button in the page header during the
navigation mode which would increase the number of header actions to 5
which is okay.

However, please note that the cancel icon needs to be super clear to the
user. Showing a cancel button alone can be potentially confusing. Perhaps we need to combine the cancel button with the route icon to indicate that
the cancel button is for cancelling the current route. I am sure Marcos
has
the imagination to make this new icon possible :)

Cheers,
Nekhelesh

Hi,

you can fix them as well.

I'm so glad you like it :))

1. I think the "Nearby on destination" should be hidden unless the user
has chosen a route from Current Location to Destination. In normal mode, there is no destination, so that feature doesn't work at that point. Do
you
agree?

I'm agree ;) Good point. Maybe a short name would be better too, maybe
"On
Destination"?

> We will have 4 tabs, "Search", "History", "Nearby on Destination" and
"Coordinates".

I'm agree.

3. Where do we show the "Cancel Route" or "Cancel Simulation" button?

I didn't invert time in the Cancel route, if you really want to follow
this mockup, we'll need to think about it.
In a first thought it could be:

   - New btn in the header (?).
   - Inside a QML page (?).
   - Floating on map (?). I don't like this so much.
   - Inside the indications panel (?).

It's the inconsistent thing in the mockup :(

If you agree, then we can start of with the implementation.

@Nekhelesh, don't hurry please :) Let's think in everything. I would like
to know the Joerg opinion too :)

Btw good work marcos! A hug :)

It's really based in your (Joerg and yours) previous work too, then good
work for everyone! :P

A hug.
