This is not correct. We are developing our own browser shell based on
QtWebKit. It’s named webbrowser-app (see
https://launchpad.net/webbrowser-app for code, bugs and translations).
Note that the shell/UI is decoupled from the rendering engine. We’re
currently using QtWebKit, based on WebKit2, but we’re not discarding any
other options (e.g. if a QML port for blink emerges). We currently don’t
have the resources to embark on creating our own port, though.
