Hi Vincent,

I think snowshoe with qtwebkit has been chosen for Ubuntu Mobile.  This is
based on WebKit2 and should be a good compromise between speed and features
- both regarding HTML5 capabilities and the possibility to embed qtwebkit
as a webview in your own app.  Currently, there is no other web engine and
port  (that I know of) that is equally easy to use and integrate.  Maybe
WebKitNix could be an option if Ubuntu wants to stick with WebKit - or some
dedicated Blink port could make sense to follow the Google path (which
could make sense - as WebKit seems to be going into "maintenance mode" and
Blink might be the new fast running train with MANY big supporters).

Firefox is nice - but doesn't have a lot of industry backing - meaning that
especially WebApps tweaked for Chrome (now WebKit - soon Blink) or
iOS/Safari (WebKit) would probably not work 100% the same on a FF platform.
 Lets see if the FF device to be launched will give FF some more wind under
its wings.  Right now, there is no big "vessel" (iOS, Android, other
devices...) carrying FF as the primary choice - so choosing FF would
probably be a choice based on feelings more than anything (probably calling
a lot of flames toward me now ;)).

When you talk about "a real Ubuntu WebBrowser" - are you talking about the
"webapps runtime" part - or the "browse web pages" part (or both)?

TL;DR If Ubuntu went and did an own port - it would make sense to use Blink
(IMO) - until then, it makes sense to stick with Snowshoe/QtWebKit2
