I think the name ubuntu-mips includes the mips and mipsel ports.
Currently the debian mips and mipsel ports are maintained by the same
team. Please refer to this:
http://www.debian.org/ports/mips/
So we are the mips team for ubuntu, isn't it? So I think the another
rename is not necessary. What do you think?
