Re: An Introduction

My turn!

I'm Rafał Cieślak, and I am a proud Ubuntu user since 2007.

My most significant contributions to the global community include
being a core developer of the Ubuntu Accomplishments project and an
extensive activity on Ask Ubuntu. I also help fixing bugs here and
there, occasionally contributing to different projects. I am also
generally interested in exploring the ways the community can grow.
Locally, I am working in my community to get more people to know
Ubuntu. In Poland Ubuntu is generally much less known than in other
places, and quite often it is associated with a bad name. I do my best
to change it, and through the past few years I have infected a lot of
people with my Ubuntu-enthusiasm, and they pass this virus further, so
it spreads around very well :-)
I believe Poland deserves as great LoCo as other countries have. I am
exploring ways this might be achieved, but my time is limited -
studying math and computer science simultaneously I am rather a busy
person.
What I use as my homepage is this blog: http://rafalcieslak.wordpress.com/

I consider the Evangelists project as a chance to exchange ideas, to
work together on improving the community, and to explore it's
expansion: to generally spread the word about Ubuntu.
I have not yet discovered any other place in the community which would
gather such passionate members who are willing to participate in
discussions about improving the spread of Ubuntu. I see a great
potential in this project, I hope I might just help it rise!
