Why did you get rid of the .muttrc information on the setup_developer_on_brave checklist? That checklist is for setting people up on brave specifically, where having a correctly setup mutt makes the 'bzr send' command for merge requests work so well. 

Other than that, your whitespace adjustments make this diff a nightmare to parse. Looks like the only other real change you made was getting rid of the directory structure creation, which I guess isn't really required for anyone doing this on their laptop (except for the conf/ directory, right?).
