We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested
in discussing it anymore. But if you are then please upgrade to the
latest Ubuntu version and re-test. If you then find the bug is still
present in the newer Ubuntu version, please add a comment here telling
us which new version it is in, and further, providing logs by running,

$ GST_DEBUG'*:5' GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 totem /path/to/your/video-file  |&
tee gst.log

And attaching the gst.log to this ticket.

  problema para abrir qualquer vídeo seja com o totem ou usando o
  opencv, apenas consigo abrir video com ffmpeg ( não se aplica ao
  opencv )
