I think we all care about all aspects of our products. We just don't have
the same skill sets to contribute everywhere and we have different
interests that get us engaged at different levels. And there are always
those tasks that are not fun for anyone.

Thomi may not be aware that we've struggled in the past with too many
processes and tools locked inside a single person's head. This silo problem
is something we've been actively trying to fix and something that we need
to keep working on via pair programming, sharing the responsibility for
operations and making sure that one person doesn't become the assumed
expert for the un-fun tasks.

Let's also remember that it's ok to try things out and see how they go! I
like the idea of a shared library because we've come across a number of
patterns that are being repeated in every service. I expect that to be a
common thing. But the nice thing about this is that we don't have use it.
We don't have to create a library with the perfect API upfront. I think we
have enough self control to only use this on a limited basis until we know
how well it works and if it works at all.

Now indeed, there are many other problems to solve, lets go solve them.
