Re: Support Saturday #8 -Preparation / Inbound Requests

The people I am less likely to be able to help are Nora Randall (java install, possible downloaded tarball)., George Wade (touchscreen, no driver), + Dan Faulks (touchpad, can't activate). I think these may be compiling tarball driver issues, and I am sorry but my compilation skills are not yet up to par. If they are not tarball, but can be handled by script re-writes, I could help, with some possible support from other S.H.'s

At windowless Wednesdays I have typically left the scripting and tarballing issues to Alishams & Steve, who are better at it than I am.

I have Ubuntu 10.10 on CD, can't yet put it on a USB flash drive, as I have none to spare.

Thanks, Cheers JJW

Subject: [Ubuntu-vancouver-loco-support-heroes] Support Saturday #8 -Preparation / Inbound Requests

  Greetings SupportHeroes and Heroines.

RSVP's are closed. Here is the final issues list inbound.

Please take a look and let me know if there are any you want to
personally tackle. This will save time on Saturday, and ensure that we
have everyone working on their best issue.

We set up at 9am, so please try to arrive then.

Please try to be as self sufficient as possible. For example, bring a
power bar, bring a USB stick with the latest images.

We're sometimes wifi constrained at this location so if anyone can bring
a router and route out to either a 3G network or to a public hotspot,
that would help. In the event of no wifi, we may have to use only what
we bring in on our disks, so please plan accordingly.

  See you all at 9am.

  Cheers,
  Randall
