I can disabled "tap to click" but I don't think there is a driver
available yet for it.”

“I am running 10.04 and my update manager has an error I can't fix and
it has prevented downloads.”

“I need to get a touchscreen working and maybe wireless. Depending on if
I can get the touchscreen working or not. Wireless currently works out
of the box; but maybe not in the Ubuntu release that will enable the
touchscreen”

RAM, CPU, disk space, laptop or desktop)
“It is a VIA PicoITX with the 1.2gh processor, 2g ram with the VM80L
touchscreen that requires touchkit drivers to my knowledge; which I have
tried and failed to install. Its actually the VIA Artigo A1100 kit. I
will have either 250gig or 500 gig. ”
Are you currently running Ubuntu on this hardware? If so, which version?
“I am running 10.10 with full wirelsess support! Yay! and all else works
great! Just need the touchscreen to work. I dual boot 9.1 as it seemed
to be supported by the wireless and am willing to run any Ubuntu that
will get the touchscreen working. ”

“This is not a problem, we can wipe it clean and start from scratch,
whatever works! If I get the touchscreen (ts) and wireless working in
one of the boots, I would love to have a small partition to play with
10.10 as well. ts works in a Windows Vbox”

“ Thanks for your help! I am willing to trade the 250gig drive with a
500gig drive if it would be easier to have multiple boots for stabs at
getting it working on different Ubuntu releases. ”

“after upgrading to 10.04 from 9 my system wont boot in graphical
interface mode. it keeps defaulting to terminal mode. ”

“Was running ubuntu 9.something”

“mostly but I would like to recover files I didn't back up since the
last time I backed it up. If they can be copied in terminal mode I would
do it. I also don't know how to mount my removable drive in terminal mode ”

on Mac OS as long as they are installed and then the organisation checked.”
