XSL file

I would just like to say that I like the new format for the HTML file.

XSL files are something new to me. Therefore please forgive my ignorance here.

My guess is that the XSL file is used to translate the XML source file
to the nicely formatted HTML file. Could this same mechanism, or a
similar one, be used to convert the XML file into a LaTeX file? I ask
as I think it would be great to be able to have a format that can be
printed. I have used LaTeX a bit myself, and have always been really
happy with the output produced. So, given one source file, it would be
easy to setup a system to convert it into a PDF via LaTeX.
