Just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10. The screen does not work out of the box 
at all. If I go to the recovery mode and check the error messages, there 
is one that says "no screens found". If I attempt to startx either from 
the command line or from the recovery mode by choosing the failsafeX 
video mode, the computer freezes. Any ideas ?
