QWWAD 1.1.0 preview release now available!
Dear All,
We're very pleased to announce the 1.1.0 preview release of the QWWAD
simulation tools. This version adds all the simulation code for Chapter
3 of the textbook, and improvements to the online documentation. This
is a particularly significant release, since it allows the Schroedinger
and Poisson equations to be solved numerically for any 1D
potential/charge profile.
Ubuntu users should received the update automatically through the Update
Manager app. Anyone else can download and install QWWAD 1.1.0 from
sourceforge.net/projects/qwwad. The online wiki provides documentation
for the new programs.
As usual, we're extremely grateful to anyone who has the time to try
running the examples, and experimenting with our programs. Please report
any bugs, or request new features at bugs.launchpad.net/qwwad
Thanks again,
Alex
p.s., Paul and I are making great progress with the new edition of the
textbook. We've added end-of-chapter examples for many of the chapters,
and new material covering modern matrix-based solutions of the Poisson
and Schroedinger equations, and the effects of band-nonparabolicity.
