Iconset goals and guidelines

Hi,

This thread is for establishing goals, reporting progress, and
exchanging feedback on Polly in-app icons. Georgi and Joern
are the main designers responsible for this, but anyone
interested in icon design can join in.

The targeted themes are the same of application icons, see
https://lists.launchpad.net/polly-open-team/msg00015.html

However, the only size in-app icons will have is 16.

All icons for buttons with different states (like favorite and
retweet) will also be provided in "-normal" and "-active"
versions. This will give freedom to express the active state
in arbitrary ways, besides the "saturated/desaturated" way
we use now. For some metaphors, colors are not being enough.

Also, I'm thinking about adding a guideline to simplify icons
that are not clickable (like the padlocks for indicating protected
users), to make more clear that they are not clickable. Those
should be more simple, perhaps monochromatic.

This is a preliminary list of the needed icons. It would be nice
having a discussion on the best metaphors for each.

Toolbar:
- send (the same for both tweets and DMs)
- add attachment
- compose
- cancel (for when sending attachments)

Columns:
- close

Pageable columns:
- previous
- next

Growable columns:
- more

Tweets/Users/Lists
- info
- delete

Tweets
- protected (not clickable)
- verified (not clickable)
- show context
- show location
- reply
- retweet
- favorite
- expand (for search items, because those need an extra API
call before they can be treated as a full-fledged tweet)

Users:
- follow/unfollow
- block/report
- manage list memberships
- direct message
- enable/disable mobile notifications
- enable/disable retweets
- discover relationship (sadly, finding out basic details like
following/followed requires an extra api call, so this button
is needed)

Lists:
- edit
- follow/unfollow
