Public bug reported:

Due to an unknown issue this table was created automatically (we never
installed any edi-related module) and the table is getting bigger and
bigger. For any reason it is never flushed, nor were we able to find a
reason for this table. Deleting all data manually decreases the
databasesize from 1.5gb to 7.6mb!

we store all the documents within the servers filesystem not inside the
database (type: internal file storage).
