Public bug reported:

I had selected a contact in the Contacts pane and was chatting to him in the Chat pane. He then logged out. When he logged out:
 - the Chat pane did not change. This is what I expected.
 - in the Contacts pane, his name moved from the 'Online' group to the 'Offline' group. This is what I expected. However, his name was no longer highlighted, even though the conversation in the Chat pane remained with him.

The correct operation would be for the selection to remain on that
contact when it is moved from the 'Online' group to the 'Offline' group.
This should be the functionality when a contact moves from _any_ group
to _any other_ group (e.g. from 'Offline' to 'Online', or when the new
groups are introduced from 'Offline' to 'Busy', etc.).
