Re: ideas

Sure, I think that's a sweet idea. the more interaction we get from fans, the better i think it will be for everybody. I believe newbies deserve a small section in the mintcast, like if we could teach them on how to use a thing or two, each episode, like talking about vmware / wine (to help newbies who probably dual boot) , what they're all about, how to use them, problems that they may face, etc. pretty much like charles did in the first episode where he talked about mintinstall and everything.

all the best,

Maybe we could take that one step further and have an area where people could drop suggestions on topics for us to go over, Instead of just taking questions from the forums. (Ignore this if we already have that and I'm just blind)

Thanks for the kind words.

Your idea of answering questions from the forum is a definite
possibility, but we need to be mindful of listener
 response to it.
Linux Action Show sometimes does the same thing, and those guys have
mentioned that their listeners complained about it. After all, they've
already read the questions and answers in the forum, why repeat them
on the podcast? But our audience may be different.

We may want to focus on certain types of questions that we think are
of wide interest -- however we define that. We definitely should
discuss this more. We may as well try it, then we can stop if we get
enough complaints.

I can set up additional authors for the blogcast, and they can add
text and video. Justin and I have talked about him following up with
additional information about his Samba tip in a separate text post,
maybe with screenshots.

Thanks for the suggestions. I definitely think there's a lot we can do
to improve the show. I wanted to get started and get something out
there, but I want to continue discussing ideas
 on how to make it
better.

Charles
