Hey Justin, 
   I love the idea about Samba, I think that one will work great.

Also I just got a netbook and I'm going to try to install mint on it(no cdrom), I will also be trying to log my experience of "Switching" from full time Mac OS to Full time Mint, and the challenges of working on a netbook vs a "full sized" laptop.

If you have any suggestions or tips, let me know.

P.S. Are we still in need of a logo for Mintcast. I'm in the middle of makking one but it's been really busy around here trying to get everything ready for exams.
