Re: Show idea

Hi Charles,

As you said before this can be recorder as a segment, then it's up to
you when and in which episode you want to put it in. I'm really busy at
the moment (Ubuntu 8.10 RC is coming out tomorrow and with a stable
release next week, I'm 110% on getting our technology ready to shift
base towards Mint 6 right now). I think it's best if you start on your
own or if you try to get someone else from the team.. Shane (who just
released the Fluxbox edition) .. or Husse. I'll never be too far whether
it's to talk or to provide content but this really is the worst moment
within the 6 months release cycle for me :)

I don't want to sound too pessimistic but things will start cooling down
for me in early december, after Mint 6 is out.. I'll have much more time
then after. By then, you guys should have released a few couples of
episodes already.

Clem.
PS: I'm cc'ing the list to keep everyone in the loop.

Subject: Show idea

Clem,

When the podcast starts, I would like to interview you in the first
episode. I know you mostly want to stay out of it, but I think your
presence in ep 1 would help add legitimacy to the show.

But mostly, I'd like to hear you talk about your vision for Mint, and
(since Ubuntu is already a good distro) why we need Mint. Also, where do
you see Mint going in the future. Why can you include multimedia codecs
(which for me was a big selling point for Mint) when all the other
distros make the user install them after the distro is installed?

I'll have more questions by the time we put this together, and give you
the questions in advance.

I'm thinking that a brief interview with you (or someone on the
development team) would be appropriate every time there is a new
release.

Charles
