Philip,

I like this idea. I don't want to give new listeners the idea that they have to use the command line, as that's one of the complaints I hear about Linux. But some people want to tinker and learn more, so it's good to have something for them.

This has the added advantage that it can be pre-recorded and then inserted in post -- we don't have to coordinate time zones and be on at the same time. These segments can even be recorded weeks in advance, and we can have a stack of them ready to go where I just grab one each week.

I'll check out Ardour, thanks for the suggestion.

Tell me what you think of this.
 A section of the show (or rather just a quick comment) where we go over a command line command, for those who are new to Linux and listening to the podcast.

Also, Ardour is a good way to mix in Multiple tracks and you can add the music in post.
