This is what we have in init:

        // Substitute auto texts.
        substituteAutoTexts(node, node.getAttributeNS(NSS["inkscape"],
"label"), counter, tempSlides.length-1)

Do you want to susbstitute this for:

      // Substitute auto texts.
        substituteAutoTexts(node, node.getAttributeNS(NSS["inkscape"],
"label"), counter+1, tempSlides.length)

Maybe you wanted to leave the first page (presentation title) out of the
count?

That I can't comment on, I'll need to compare with an older version to see
what you mean. Effects on the slide 19/24 seems to all appear (18/23?)
