I propose that we deprecate "fit" and replace it with "fit_new" one week 
from now.  holopy.analyze.fit_new should be renamed holopy.analyze.fit, 
and the current holopy.analyze.fit should be renamed 
holopy.analyze.fit_deprecated.  All tests for the old "fit" should be 
deleted and replaced with tests for the new fit.  This will encourage 
everyone to move to the new fit framework, and hopefully help us catch 
bugs.  People can still do "from holopy.analyze.fit_deprecated import 
fit" if they need the old code, or they can check out earlier revisions 
of the dev branch.

This means we will have one week to stabilize the specification for the 
new fit framework.  Please add comments and todo items for the 
specification to the blueprint:
