wvuopensource.org

I announced this at the FSAG meeting, but obviously many of you weren't
there. So, I'd like to introduce you to my latest grand scheme.

There is a lot of interest in open source software in our community, and
several groups out there launching advocacy efforts in the community. What I
propose is a central hub, one place for anyone in the Morgantown or WVU
areas to wax about the open source movement.

I'm looking for writers, podcasters, coders, whatever. Anyone who wants a
creative outlet may have an account. Content can be about anything, as long
as it relates in some way to open source or free software. Organizations can
make announcements about upcoming events. In addition to being a creative
outlet for open source fans, I'd like to position it as a powerful resource
for students where they can learn about what open source software is, why
they should use it, etc.

Obviously, the site has no content yet, and the layout isn't completely
ironed out. However, I'd like to get everyone motivated snd involved so that
we can get off to a good start. If you'd like an account, pleae let me know
what username and password you want. If you'd like an
__@wvuopensource.orgaccount, let me know and I'll get you set up.

MorLUG and FSAG, once you get logos and websites set up, i'll add you to the
"partners" tab (if you want).
