Re: New mailing list, reworking models.py
It is funny that you mention that, as I had a back-and-forth email
conversation with Mr. Tauber just yesterday. As part of the Pinax project,
he is planning on making some Django based learning software. While his
project focuses more on the learning side of things, as opposed to the
administrative side, I think a lot of the underlying apps would be quite
similar.
I like the idea of the use of social software in schools, as well as the
ideas for learning software that Mr. Tauber has. I'd prefer to keep
everything modular enough that if a user *only* wants to use school admin
functionality, they only have to install those apps.
For the sake of legal compatibility with the Pinax project, I'm considering
re-licensing under GPL v3 and BSD.
