   Dear all,

We to congratulate all of you for work well done in the year 2010 and hope
to have better things in the new year. Also we to congratulate all the
district which participated in the customization of the new system (DHIS)
and  even train others to start using the system a waiting the actual
training and moving a head to enter their data
and providing useful feedback beside the existing system (FTP.) All the
province had some district and hospital which participate and over 90% have
entered their data for August, September and October 2010 except Rift
Valley, Central and western which were provide but no test were done and no
feedback. Nevertheless some district have not even attempt to test the
system. Once more we to appreciate their acceptance and more other task at
their level.

In earlier communication I had requested all the province through PHRIO on
type of modem which is good for internet connection and the table below was
provided by the province and we hope this will address your need in internet
connection and supply of airtime confirm the Modem type before we procure
them for you. For Those willing to test the system they can request their
user name and password. See also the attached draft on what the system is
able to generate and many more. it is a web based system and hence it will
require complete internet connection and advice you to ask you local service
provide for assistance i.e in Nyamira they are using Orange modem and using
500/= for three months for connection when change to bundles. Make good
decision please.

Also we had requested Facility level data for 2009 from january and 2010
upto October or November and only Coast province 9 District so far
respondent and we are migrating to new system for them. After  migrating all
the data to the new system so that come new year during training we only
have few months to enter and even able to see performance of their AOP6 and
AOP7 by click of a button. Also it will assist in the training and at the
same time the province will be a head in adapting new system. What we
require District to indicate District name and year on the file name send to
separate from FTP data.

Please facilitate to get all facility data send to me direct. We want all
FTP data, IDSR,Administrative, Workload, Logistics-FP,TB,Nasco,
Laboratory, Environmental Health, Ophthalmic services, Human resource and
any other reports in Excel if possible.

The system capture more and District hospital and province like coast
general is doing their data entry direct and the DHRIO is able to see the
data without re-entering because this is facility based system and community
unit based.

In January we shall start the system and luck are those who will have send
the data because there work will be less. Also I will share with you all
reports and indicators the system will be able to generate and analysis will
be by constituency, county.
 facility, division etc.

JICA also will support this in collaboration with other stakeholders.
