steps to replicate;
1 select + and Protocol eg Wireguard
2 fill in fields for connection
3 add peer details
attempt to save
Peer form disappears, not saved, 'Add' button for connection not live, cannot add.
Similar behavior for other protocols (OpenVPN etc)

Title:
  NM doesn't properly store VPN settings

Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

  In Ubuntu Gutsy, when I create a VPN connection using the NM applet,
  the extended settings are not saved in the connection profile.

  Steps to reproduce:
  1) Create a VPN connection profile using the applet
  2) Make sure the extended options checkboxes are not checked (Only use VPN for theses addresses, Use MPPC compression, Require MPPE encryption)
  3) Save and open the newly created profile, all of the 3 options checkboxes mentioned will be checked, making it impossible to configure these options
