Title:
In the new administrative gui there are some usability issues on
creating, editing, listing items
Status in DataFinder - flexible data management:
New
Bug description:
- There is no visual difference between just showing the attributes of an item (e. g. Data Types) or editing them. Better make different views for editing or just viewing (e. g. as non-editable table).
- When having done some changes, you can just leave the page and the changes are lost. Better give a choice to save or discard.
- When creating a new attribute (of a Data Type) the editor jumps the to top of the page but the new attribute is shown at the bottom (same with children/parents of Data Relation, etc.).
- When starting create a new child or parent of a Data Relation, you always get an error (because of the invalid default type "-------").
You may generally reconsider to use buttons ("Create new...") or
similar instead of the popup menu of the headline section for better
navigation and distinguishing between edit/view.
