Re: [Question #142335]: Linux: start python script

Question #142335 on DataFinder changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/datafinder/+question/142335

Tobias Schlauch posted a new comment:
Currently the open, print etc. stuff only works on Windows but we plan
to add this these features for different Linux operating systems, too.
The problem is that these things are quite platform-specific. But you
could add a script which opens for instance a file and attach it to a
certain data format (e.g., PDF)...

However, the scripting support should work on any platform. Normally, a
print should appear on the console... Please try to raise an error
within the script... This should open a message box telling you that
there was a problem during script execution...

A lot of more information can be found in our Wiki: https://wiki.sistec.dlr.de/DataFinderOpenSource
Specific help on script extensions can be found here:
https://wiki.sistec.dlr.de/DataFinderOpenSource/WriteScriptExtensions
https://wiki.sistec.dlr.de/DataFinderOpenSource/UseScriptExtensions

I hope these links help...

Best regards,
Tobias
