Re: ldc packages for ubuntu/debian x86 and x86_64
I'm trying out the 32bit package on ubuntu jaunty. I had to install the
libconfig++6 from http://packages.debian.org/testing/libs/libconfig++6
to satisfy that dependency.
Anyway, I keep getting this error when compiling:
/usr/include/d/ldc/libtango/tango/core/BitManip.di(25): Error: module
bitmanip cannot read file 'ldc/bitmanip.d'
Also: I noticed a .directory file laying around in the package inside
the orig.tar.gz file:
tango/example/.directory
I'm pretty sure that it was generated by dolphin, and should not be in
the pristine source.
Keep up the good work! We need a good alternative to C in repos!

Hi,
I've compiled the package i did in the previous days from x86_64 to a x86
machine, i tested it with an hello world program which uses tango as you can
see at:
http://goshawknest.wordpress.com/2009/04/07/ldc-debian-and-ubuntu-packages-
for-x86-and-x86_64-amd64/
The package is build from ldc revision 1193 and tango sean 0.99.8.
We are working to put them on debian and ubuntu. For debian i hope to upload
it in a month (the package needs reviews) for ubuntu, it will be in koala 9.10
(6 months) due to libconfig6 dependence which is missed in ubuntu jaunty.
Best Regards.
