[Bug 496336] [NEW] Test coverage is less than 100%

As of revision 156 of lp:yardbird we have only 88% coverage, as verified
by running the "test_coverage" script at the top of the working tree.

We need to make our tests a behavioral specification of the program's
correct operation.  One step in this path is to get complete statement
coverage.

Once we have 100% statement coverage, we should strive to keep it
forever by making it one of the requirements for a merge into trunk or
any release branch.
