Re: Discussing the addressbar issues

Hi Adnane, Thanks for your design suggestions. You've raised some good points that we are thinking about. Suggestion 1) Our current design pattern for all apps (including the browser) is to have the toolbar displayed at the bottom. We think that keeping things consistent will help make it easier for users to learn. Suggestion 3) We are in the progress of introducing tabs into our design which includes displaying the title of the page. I hope this gives you some clarity of our design choices so far. Thanks, Rachel Hi Adnane,
Thanks for your input! I’ll let the design team comment on your suggestions, please see my comments on the technical matters inline.

> Hi, i just want to bring discussion about the browser adressbar and how this will impact the user experience, as you know all the browsers market(chrome, firefox, safari & opera) have their adressebar at the top, so users will expect it at the top and visible not at the bottom and *hidden.* The second point is the issue with using the floatting toolbar as an adressbar, this will make the orange area in the screenshot[0] unsable, this area is used to bring the toolbar.

That one is a known issue: the browser currently implements a custom toolbar instead of using the one provided by the SDK (which in its current form is not generic enough), and the revealing area is too high. This will be fixed when we switch to a more generic toolbar exposed by the SDK.
