CCK and Views are indeed two powerful modules to use, and that these
ones at least that I would use.
Again, it's up to you. This way needs some learning and fighting that
the other way doesn't require. But this will be more maintainable by
other people.
To put it simply, if you goal is:
1/ To just create Ubuntu Wanted, and in the fastest possible way
because you lack time, do it like you're doing now.
2/ To create Ubuntu Wanted, and also learning some new exciting web
framework, and you have some available time in front of you to learn
it, do it with Drupal.
