Message #00001
Let's begin planning the Youtube channel
Ok, I was waiting for more video editors but I think now we are ready to go.
We'll start planning what to do with the Youtube Channel and later we'll
figure out how to do it, anyway, do you have any ideas in mind? Whatever
comes up I think we must create a single campaign and stick with it, I mean
we have to be consistent or that all videos should follow a certain pattern
or estructure and be part of the whole campaign.
How do you think we should approach to the channel?
We've already been talking about the couple, one would be to create
advertisements of the strong points of the OS I leave you free to think what
we could do... and another way someone suggested was to do it through user
opinions or monologues like W7 is doing right now, -check the campaign if
you can-. Both have pros and cons, the user opinions would be great to
humanize the OS... for humans and on the downside, we have M$ doing the same
with real actors and more resources, though maybe we could redirect the
campaign to the facebook page or something like that and another thing I
thought that maybe would be even more 2.0ish would be to promote a send your
"why do I like ubuntu?" video and compile user videos but there's always the
chance we get 5 totally useless videos, but I think this would be best
suited for later when the channel already has many subscribers to call to
arms.
Maybe later we can meet to chat or else, anyway please feel free to tell me
what you think and post your own ideas.
