Re: Use winning Texas Ubuntu logo on Launchpad, too?
The logos were submitted to the Texas-Ubuntu website for the purpose of
adoption by the group, so it's pretty clear we have permission from the
artist.
The site runs on the Drupal CMS, so if anyone wants to submit or suggest a
different theme, send me the link and I'll install it on the server.
Speaking of servers, the server hosting the Texas-Ubuntu.org website will be
migrated from Laredo to the Houston area over the next three or four weeks.
IYCC, which hosts the site, is opening a Houston location (Pearland to be
more precise) and migrating its web services operations to the new location.
(Laredo just doesn't have the infrastructure we need.) Site construction was
completed yesterday. The telco is expected to lay in the wiring to the
building on Friday. We'll get the inside wiring connected and tested over
the next couple of weeks and then migrate the server. In the meantime, you
may see the site down for short periods while we prepare for the switch.
Please bear with us as we grow.
I'm looking forward to attending personally a meeting of the Houston LoCo
soon. When's the next meeting, by the way?
