They sent me an invite so I accepted it!  However, Texas is still not an
"approved" team in the official list.  Partly, well probably mostly, due
to our distributed nature it's been difficult to build a state level team. 

The Houston continues to meet monthly, has had several events and this
has been over at least two years - so that shows  continued activism. 
I'm not sure if that is enough to get the state team approved or if we
need monthly IRC meetings or other state level activities.

If anyone wants to make a concerted effort to help get the team approved
and made "official"  please step forward or at least start throwing out
ideas here.
