Vaio Y2190X change screen resolution
All,
thanks for the great advice here for installing Ubuntu 10.04 (kernel 2.6.38-11) on the Vaio Y that I bought in Nov/Dec 2010. Unfortunately I do have the typical problems (screen resolution and wifi) and got stuck.
Can someone please point me to the solution to change the screen resolution? I added the i915...=0 fix to grub and can boot into the 1024 resolution and I also have the Intel video drivers installed according to synaptic. What I found was this page http://askubuntu.com/questions/19027/ubuntu-on-the-sony-vaio-vpcy-21s1e but the links from there don’t work anymore. I also checked Google and the Ubuntu forums and cannot find the solution (for newbies please).
Does one of you know an updated solution for this problem?
Thanks in advance
Roland
