Exactly, and also why I am not really keen to rush to talk to Red-X.
If we had something up and running would be a bit different.
I'm firmly in this camp as well, I almost think it would be better for
use to treat this as an 'exercise' for the cluster to see what we need
to have in place for next time when something does occur. E.g. we're
identifying data, potential users, perhaps prepopulating some
organisational details etc.
It just reinforces to me that we really need to get Sahana in a better
shape to encourage adoption before an event occurs. I feel it will be
a fruitless model to continually chase.
I think the real opportunity is going to come in 3-6 months time when
most of the response and immediate issues have been dealt with, and we
can then promote Sahana as something to deploy in advance of the next
cyclone, earthquake or tsunami in the Pacific.
This gives us about 3-4 months to get Sahana in good shape for
promotion.
