Hi there,

sorry for the longer delay but due to Plone conference and a huge 
backlog it took more time than I expected to get my hands back on this 
project.

There has been some discussion with the PyPI maintainers about mirroring 
PyPI. The outcome affects our projects with two points:

1) z3c.pypimirror 1.0.1 now distinguishes between the initial
   full fetch mode (--initial-fetch) and subsequent updates 
(--update-fetch). The --update-fetch mode will take the changelog() 
XMLRPC API
   into account - means: we consider only the changed packages of the
   last N days (currently 7 - we will have to make this more smarter).

2) z3c.pypimirror should send  a dedicated user-agent when mirroring
   the index page of the simple index. This requires some rewriting of
   the urlopen() calls since we can not define a custom user agent
   HTTP header using urlopen() - any takers? :-)

I recommend that you update your installations to z3c.pypimirror 1.0.1.

Note that you _must_ specify either --initial-fetch or --update-fetch.
There is no default for the fetch mode - so the script fails explictely.
