Hi,

I have just created two branches:
  devel
  release-1.0

I don't know if release-1.0 is already ok, but I think as a few of the
mirrors are already running stable for some weeks now, it's ok and I'd
like to set this as the current state and concentrate on 1.1 for feature
enhancements.

devel should be kept in a running state and I think, we should try to
keep the quality high enough to be able to release any time with a delta
of one week. But as I'm not the maintainer, this is of course just a
proposal.

For development, we should use a local or a launchpad branch. If it's
stable, we can merge it to devel.

For my reimplementation efforts I created

Maybe someone has fun looking at it ;)
