Message #00011
transcode daemon profiles and flowplayer
I'm trying to decide on the best course for handling transcode.daemon
(henceforth tcd) profiles and how collective.flowplayer (cfp) should
handle them. Here's some scenarios:
* cfp only plays the flash video transcoding, and only needs a single .flv file
* cfp handles the video tag, including fallbacks, so will want an
h.264, flv and ogg file
* cfp handles h.264 with a low quality and a high quality option
At some point, cfp needs to decide which profile to use for the
embedded playback (and potentially other things). We could have a set
of base profile names (e.g. flv, h264 and ogg) that cfp will use if
they exist. Or we could have a configuration option somewhere of which
profile to use for which purpose.
Thoughts? I think initially I'll implement the first option, then
think about others.
