Hi Arjen,

I haven't had much chance this week after all that to do anything new.

should I try and merge my branch back into the oqgraph dev branch?  Or will
this break your current testing too soon?

I can turn off the #ifdef for the legacy method by default, and remove it
later after more testing.  Given it looks like the autocast on the latch will
be a problem.
Adding the warning on integer latch should not be too hard
