Re: [alfanous] Re: bayt-al-hikma.com (Sabily Project)

The hadith database is still available using odata. Or I can give a backup to people who would like to.

Salam,

I read a post in bayt-el-hikma facebook page that hadith section will disappear :

The Hadiths section is closed.
We think hadiths are unreliable, and we don't want to propagate false hadiths about our Prophet (saws) or Allah (with Hadiths Qudsi) We think Muslims should focus more on the Quran and its study; just recall this verse:
وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَهْجُورًا
And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned."
[25:30]
So we are going to add features to the Quran section, like sharing, bookmarking, classification by themes etc.
Thanks to everyone who helped us, and sorry about this change.

What you will do with the hadith database?

    assalamu alaykum,

    I've create an OData (http://www.odata.org/) service to expose
    Bayt al-Hikma's database:
    http://bayt-al-hikma/OData/HadeethService.svc

    So the schema and data are available to everyone ;)
    For example, using a tool like database.net <http://database.net>:
    http://fishcodelib.com/Database.htm you can browse the schema and
    data: cf picture attached.

    @Manarah team: later we could use this service to synchronize bayt
    al-hikma's data with Manarah local data.

        ok , I got this . so it's the structure :
        Hadith>Bab*>Kitab*>Book

        I have further questions:

        Where Ahadith texts are saved , in Hadithtranslation?

        What Tables those IDs refer ?
        ReferenceID
        ReliabilityID
        RawiID
        IsnadID

        Is there any way to get this database?

            wa alaykum salam,

            A book is a set of kitabs; a kitab is a set of babs; a
            bab is a set of hadeeths.
            Let's explain that with examples:
            * sahih bukhari = book
              - 1. The book of commencement of revelation = kitab
                 - 1 How the Divine Revelation commenced = bab
                    - Hadiths...

            * babs are optional:
             Sunan Abu-Dawud = book
              - 1 Purification = kitab
                 - hadiths....

            * kitabs are also optional:
              40 hadiths of An-Nawawi = book
              - Hadiths....

                You're welcome :)

                You've done the simple search. There are lot of
                features that you can use to improve the results
                and the interface.

                Thank you for the link , we also add your link in
                "Who use this?" here:
                http://wiki.alfanous.org/doku.php?id=json_web_service#who_use_this

                The idea in search engines is to create a main
                document index , its key in this case will be
                Hadeeth.Id . Most of tables' attributes will be
                added directly to this document index as
fields. Each field has a specific type, indexed and/or stored... I'll check this database
                and try to find a good schema for the
