We're proud to announce that the first alpha of µBackup 2.0 (codenamed
"TuxTux") is RELEASED!!!

This release features a command-line frontend and a new architecture.
Because of the rewrite, the ftp backup feature isn't present in this
release.
We hope to implement it in the next alpha, scheduled on 31/10/08.

In this release there're are ONLY gzip support. Use older compressions files
if you need other compressions (example: if you need bzip2 support, copy
<µBackup1.xDIR>/bin/compress/bzip2 to
<µBackup2.0DIR>/share/compressions/bzip2).

WARNING: If you try this release, please made a backup of your ~/.ubackup
directory because this release (like any other release) uses this dir for
configuration and a couple of files are changed. In Theory, µBackup 2.0 does
not change the "bkdir" "dir" and some other files of the 1.x series but you
never know :)
