Just a quick note about hosting and all.
I want this podcast to be independent and separate from the official
project. I want it to be by and for the community basically. I also want
the leader(s) to feel involved and so I want them to create their own
revenue streams (by getting their own .com with their own adsense
program..etc). Linuxmint.com generates about $1,000/month in adverts
placed on the website. I don't expect the podcast website to generate as
much money or to get as much traffic but it will certainly generate a
bit too. So that money and that traffic should help the podcast itself
and the people behind it and it should help develop that project into a
completely independent entity, about but separate from Linux Mint.
Now, having said that. You need to get started, you need a place where
you can host big files, some bandwidth...etc. Until you know for sure
who is going to do what and what your team will be it's a bit premature
to look for a name and all. So if you need anything (FTP, Web space,
forum..) just give me a shout and I'll have it set up for you.
