What's the result of ls? You should have:

acinclude.m4  AUTHORS         ChangeLog     config.sub  configure.ac
COPYING.header  depcomp  INSTALL     ltmain.sh    Makefile.in  NEWS

aclocal.m4    autom4te.cache  config.guess  configure   COPYING
