I'm not sure to understand your question. Do you have trouble building
the GSE library, or do you have trouble to build a program that uses the
GSE library?
In both cases, I don't think you need an environment variable.
To help you, please provide us the following information:
1/ what is your system (OS and version) ?
2/ what version of the GSE library do you use?
3/ what command reports you an error?
4/ what is the error reported (copy/paste the full output in your
email) ?
5/ if you're trying to build a program that uses the GSE library, what
is that program?
For your next requests, please always provide us this kind of
information. Not doing so slows down the resolution of your problem.
