Maybe you both have different models or BIOSes. Can I ask you to run
these commands in a terminal and copy+paste the results in reply?
sudo dmidecode -s system-product-name
sudo dmidecode -s system-version
lspci -vnnn | perl -lne 'print if /^\d+\:.+(\[\S+\:\S+\])/'
