Dear all:

Although it has been rather quiet on the mailing list, lots of things
developed behind the scenes. About a week and a half ago, I was
contacted by Josh Andler. He asked, if I would be interested to have
JessyInk included in Inkscape. After a quick exchange about the details,
I happily agreed to his suggestion and I am very pleased to announce
that JessyInk 1.5.1 will ship with Inkscape 0.48.

JessyInk will continue as before. However, we will be able to commit
every new version of JessyInk to the Inkscape repository, so that the
newest available version will be shipped with every release of Inkscape.
The benefit for the users is that they don't have to install JessyInk
separately. They can just start using it after installing Inkscape. Even
so, should they choose to want to try a newer version of JessyInk, they
can still download and install the extensions the same way they can
install them now. The advantage for the project is that we get more
exposure and a larger install base. From my point of view that's a real
win-win-situation.
