Dear all:

After a slightly longer development phase than usual, I scheduled the
release of version 1.4.0 for next Friday (11 Dec 2009). Changes, which
are visible for the user are:

*) New custom mouse handler, including one that allows you to move and
zoom on any slide as well as to click on any object to create ad-hoc
views.

*) Triggered by the above change, any objects can now be assigned to be
views using the Inkscape extension. The behaviour of objects that are
assigned to be views changed, so that they are not hidden anymore.

*) The bugs with the numbers 435016, 451201 and 451341 were fixed.

Under the hood, the following changes took place:

*) New architecture for extensions (prominently used by the new custom
mouse handler).

*) New script for creating packages, which is currently based on a
custom python script, but will move in time to a cmake script.

*) The beginnings of the JessyInk book (not yet merged), i.e. a series
of DocBook files with user and developer documentation for JessyInk. The
aim is to centralise the core documentation in these documents and then
use them to produce HTML and possibly PDF documentation as well as to
generate the content of the Google Code wiki pages.

Well, I think that's about it for now. As always you are invited to test
