Hello Izidor,
per your request, here's the daily ppa script.
Execute it as ./auto_compile remote   (remote uploads to the ppa,
local builds the packet locally).
Make sure to have some configuration in ~/.dput.cf: it's needed to upload.

Mine contains this:

[gtg-daily]
fqdn = ppa.launchpad.net
method = sftp
incoming = ~invernizzi/gtg-daily/ubuntu/
login = invernizzi
allow_unsigned_uploads = 0

[gtg-main]
fqdn = ppa.launchpad.net
method = sftp
incoming = ~gtg/ppa/ubuntu/
login = invernizzi
allow_unsigned_uploads = 0

It's also possible to make Launchpad compile the package directly (see
https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/SourceBuilds).
I tried it when the feature came out, but it was compiling it wrong.
Maybe it's worth a look again, since they have been busy developing
that.
